2022 and New Beginnings
I’m on my temple’s board of trustees. At our meeting last night I had the opportunity to share some words for the closing prayer.
Here they are:
“For me the time around New Year’s Day has always combined #reflection and marking the passage of time with setting #hopes, #plans, and #dreams for new #beginnings.
My prayer is that this new year of #2022 is a year of new beginnings for us:
A year where we #begin to end the pandemic and see a full return to health for all affected by COVID-19.
A year where we begin to rediscover the art of #empathy and #understanding.
A year where we begin to move past the divisiveness, chaos, and disruption of recent years.
A year where we begin to realize the #interconnectedness of everything – that I do #better when you do better, and vice versa. And the world does better when we do better.
A year where our #actions begin to reflect our best #intentions.
And, most of all, a year where we begin to #heal ourselves, our relationships, our communities, our nation, and our planet.”
